We have used Lane for at least five family members in the past fifteen years. Always had an excellent experience with all who worked with us. Would definitely recommend to any grieving family as we were shown nothing but compassion.
They did a great job with my father and brother
I have never worked with a more caring family. I needed to make arrangements for future need for my parents. They explained everything to me in detail and I was quite satisfied with my experience. Needless to say I was nervous about doing it but they made me feel so comfortable. It as like sitting down with my own family. They were kind, compassionate, very understanding and we even had several laughs talking about things we had in common. . I highly recommend the Lane Funeral Home
I firmly believe that my experience with this company began with a simple misunderstanding and miscommunications. These things happen. However, absolutely nothing excuses these people from their reaction to the mistakes they made. Instead of listening and using empathy while fixing their errors, they tried to blame myself and my family. They dodged questions regarding their failure to properly complete paperwork and treated my husband's remains like an afterthought.I would not wish this experience on any other person. If you go to these people in your time of grief, PLEASE have someone with you and ask as many questions as you need. Get everything in writing. To the people who were responsible for my experience: Learn from this. Treat people with empathy. We came to you because we lost someone in our lives. We came to you for guidance through a very difficult process. I know it cannot be easy to deal with grief as much as you do and I truly appreciate the services you and others in your industry offer, but try to remember that WE are more than a process of signatures and dollars spent. We lost someone we loved and trusted you with them. Try to honor that trust next time.
