Eastern Food Market is our go-to grocery store for all our household needs. They offer a great selection of Middle Eastern and European products, and the quality is always excellent. The meat section is especially impressive — always fresh, and the butcher is happy to cut everything exactly the way we like. Special thank you to Syed Abid for his great welcome each tome our visit and taking care of our orders. The store is always clean and well-organized, which makes shopping there a pleasure. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality products and great service!
Do not buy lamb from here, I’ve been buying meat from here since three years, the meat was good in the beginning but it’s been a year they keep selling goat in the name of lamb thinking people are stupid don’t know the difference between lamb and goat meat. They did this many times with us and I’m very disappointed, this is fraud, if you don’t have lamb just be honest about it but selling other meat and charging the price is lamb is fraud and I will complain about this to the city
False advertizing. Lamb or veal put on special 7.99/lb. Now when you try to buy it, you are told you have to buy the entire leg. Nowhere it is mentioned on the flyer you have to buy in so much quantity. What am I going to do with so much meat !. When you advertise per lb then you should sell per lb and not force customers to buy all of it or fix your advertising.
Limited selection and variety, inconsistent stock. Hard to find what you want, sometimes they have it if you ask. Sometimes you can find things you can't find elsewhere, sometimes way cheaper and sometimes more expensive, comparing prices and asking to confirm pricing at the cash is important. Some staff are very friendly. Not very clean, especially the restaurant. The food was delicious but the staff were rude and dismissive
I am giving one star because you guys play game with the customers. When any product on sale and customers visit your the shop you guys make excuses. First Excuse: When customer demand the product on sale you guys reply like that the product available at Hamilton store if its available at Hamilton store then why you guys advertisement in Niagara region 2nd excuse: All stock is sold come tomorrow if the product you don't have in stock why you guys do fake advertisement. This is my recommendation improve your service and do not waist customers time.
I appreciate the presence of a desi store like the Eastern Food Market in the Stamford area, and it's my preference to support this local business. The store offers a commendable variety of Pakistani and Middle Eastern groceries, halal meat, and produce, along with a restaurant. However, I've experienced some issues that I'd like to bring to your attention: 1. During the summer and until my recent visit in the first week of July 2023, I have been noticing an unpleasant odor of spoiled meat in the parking lot and surrounding areas of the store. This suggests the need for more diligent sanitation measures. 2. Additionally, I've found that the produce often lacks freshness. More concerningly, when attempting to select fresher mangoes, I've been persuaded by the cashier to purchase less fresh, or even rotten items. I would like to request that customers be allowed to choose the freshest produce without being pressured otherwise. No one likes to take garbage home. 3. The consistency of the restaurant's menu, including the quality and taste of the food, appears to be variable. It is disappointing that a previously enjoyed dish may not live up to the same standards when ordered again. I hope these matters are addressed soon.
