We stopped numerous times on our 30 minute walk to this place from the falls on a hot, humid and busy long weekend afternoon to debate whether it would be worth it, and once we were done eating here, we all agreed it definitely was! All of us had the fish and chips, they were delicious and authentic! I'd recommend anyone who's in the area and is craving some fresh fish and chips to try this place out. The staff was polite and friendly, and they don't charge the absurd 'tourist tax' common in the area.
We were greeted by the store manager and simply asked if two tables could be placed together. He refused and immediately told us "This is my restaurant and I'm not putting tables together, you guys can go somewhere else". The food had good reviews but unfortunately our group of 8 won't be returning to try it after this experience. Very, very disappointing .
Delicious fish and chips, better than many places I've eaten on the East Coast. The haddock was "melt-in-your-mouth' - couldn't ask for better. I was happy to see that they give you a BIG portion of fish instead of skimping on the fish and giving you a ton of chips.Decor is pretty simple and we arrived on a busy night so the wait staff were a bit harried but still friendly. Thanks for a great meal :)
Delicious fish and chips. Batter was light and not dense at all. 1 app, 2 pops, and 2 fish and chips dinner for $50 not too bad. And the restaurant was nice and quiet just off the main strip of the Falls.
One place not to judge a book by its cover, it's here. The fish and chips here are very good. I can't say it's the best I ever had "VFW fish fry U.S.A" but it's close. It was a slow night when we went, but the service was about as good as it can get. Not sure if the waiter/host was also the owner, if not then that is a man you need to keep and never let go. He can hold a conversation well and was great about answering questions while doing his responsibilities. Prices are fair for the area. I would go as far as to say that this is a MUST VISIT location.
