We are 100% satisfied with Hamblets. We met with a few well-known companies, but it was the informative, friendly and direct manner of John Hamblet that won us over. Prior to meeting with John we had read some reviews and expected Hamblets to be out of our price range. We were given a fast quote and found it to be middle-of-the-road, which made our decision even easier. Work was scheduled well within the time frame given and completed at a pace that we felt would lend to a quality roof. The crew was friendly, well-mannered and left no trace of their work each night around our property. We would recommend Hamblets to our family and friends.
Wow, the carelessness!!!!!!! We didn't have these guys work on our house, but they just finished next door. They were given permission to go onto our property because it was a tight squeeze. We are in mid renovation chaos after a flood in our house that took everything and are still processing some of our stuff in the yard. I guess they took the mess to mean that that could also make one! We had a bunch of wood from a ripped down deck that we said they could move if need be. What did they do?!?! Oh they moved it all right! In fact, the threw it all on top of my tulips which just bloomed! The entire garden is flattened!!!!!!! Those flowers are the only thing in this place that makes me happy amidst the wreckage. You folks need to give your guys lessons on some goddamn respect for personal property. The stupidity is unreal!!!! P. S. Just discovered they trampled all over my flowers in the front yard and destroyed them too. Lovely!
Terrible service! After reading all the positive reviews I thought I was getting the best there was. I was WRONG. Don't believe everything you read. Some of these five star reviews must be fake or they have gotten terribly sloppy over the years.I scheduled my roof to be done on August 16th, 2018. They never showed up. They called me two days later to tell me they would be there to do the roof the following Thursday (August 20). Thursday rolls around and still they don't show up. I call again. They say they will be there tomorrow first thing and it will be done in a day. They finally came on the Friday (August 21) and I'm informed at 3pm that they will not be able to finish today because they had to go to another job. Understandably, I was disappointed as they promised it would be done in a day. They said they would be back Monday but that it was water tight and everything on the roof was secure. The next morning I woke up to find one of their boards that they assured me was secure, fell and was on the lawn. There are three young kids who live downstairs, this could have seriously injured them or killed them. I was furious! I called immediately to leave a complaint. I didn't receive a call until Monday and they promised they would be there the next day (remember on Friday how I was told they would be there on Monday?) They never showed up, again. I waited another day. Tuesday they never showed up. I called. They showed up finally on Friday August 31st. They said they were finished. Both my neighbour and I looked at at the roof and noticed the flashing was installed incorrectly causing water to go underneath the shingles they just put down, causing the plywood to rot. I called to complain, again. They said my house was on the list for them to come back to finish. (Remember, they already told me it was finished!) They didn't come by until 2 weeks later on September 14th to correct the flashing.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT HIRE THESE CONTRACTORS. They are not consistent, they lie, they overcharge, they take a month to finish your roof when it should have taken one day!
Our experience with Hamblets has been amazing! Nothing but good things to say from start to finish. Salesman was easy to deal with, fast quote, fast replies to all my questions. Office responded with a booking date, I didn't have to wait more than a few days. Crew showed up bright and early, stripped the old shingles in a matter of hours. In fact, it seemed like they enjoyed being up there in the 35 C + temperature, laughing and chatting the entire time. Start to finish, I had a new roof in about 6 hours . I looked around the yard and it was although they had never been there, extremely clean. Highly recommended. Thanks Hamblet's!
