Went here last october this a Great store the man working the desk was very friendly and worked with me with some personal requests. The shop had a great selection of modern and retro games. I will be making the trip out here again next year.
In-store experience might be fantastic, I can only rate my online experience. Three online orders over the span of 2 years: Order #1, all items were cancelled due to a stock error. They apologized and kindly offered a gift certificate for $25 off my next order. Order #2, several items were cancelled, no explanation, apology, or email to see if I still wanted to proceed with the rest of the order. Order #3, all items cancelled, no explanation or apology, just a cancellation email. I know they are managing stock from several locations, but having accuracy when ordering is important, and if things need to be cancelled, as happens, communication with the customer is essential.
We walk in to buy my son a game for his birthday. I ask where the switch games are he tells me they are 65 and then walks away when the phone rings. On the call for the next 15 minutes we are standing there as he negotiates a sale over the phone. We try to support small local businesses however I will admit there's me disappointment If someone comes to your business take the time to help them support you We left. I do not plan to return
I visited both the Niagara Falls and St Catherines locations. They had quite a bit of stock and the prices were good compared to other stores. However, I did purchase a DSI XL from the Niagara location that I believe could have been cleaned a bit better before put on the floor for sale.
I am in Vancouver, I looked up a game on their website, called the store, was greeted kindly, even if I wasn't from the area, and they looked into the game in question off their site deftly and thoroughly, more than I anticipated or even asked! They confirmed what I was inquiring about and when I made the purchase 10mins later, they shipped it that very day and I got it within a week! Great place, will definitely do business again in the future. They have some well priced gems in there!
Used to go to the thorold one as a kid, the quality of their store in the falls is pretty poor now, the store is layed out very strange and wasnt organized well and the console I was sold doesn't work and they don't not allow actual cash refunds only store credit or replacements so beware buying from this store to be honest.
my brother and i went to this store today at 12:45. it was closed despite the hours being listed 11-8. very upsetting, we went out of our way because of their great reviews but i would not recommend going.
