So beautiful and a must do hike. Definitely physically challenging but worth it for the avid hiker. Bring water and hiking boots. Be safe and mindful of weather conditions.
Had a great time here we walked to the bottom then to the devil's hole and walked to the Whirlpool winch was a long hike then up to the road and walked back around 2 miles to the car but had a great time with great views of the Niagara River the dam and the Whirlpool. I would like to see the trail get marked better and alot of the steps are crumbled. definitely need to be in shape to take this hike there is no easy way to get back up.
Wow. Gorge-ous!! Natural beauty and a good challenge of a hike. 700 stairs total up/down. Some of the lower trail is precarious, so wear grippy boots and bring a walking stick. Loved watching the jet boats attack the Rapids and soak their passengers!
Nice for sure. Ample parking most of the time. Wonderful views! Stop for an hour or stay for the day.
The stairs have been repaired. Both upstream and downstream stairs leading to the river are open but the cave trail has been cut off do to falling rocks. Today was nice and warm couldn'task for a better day. The leaves had fallen and the views of the rapids were awesome! Good hiking boots are important although I have hiked the trail in sneakers. It can be slick. Great place to feel the power of nature.
