I was disappointed with my stay at the Hilton Hotel in Niagara Falls. 1.) I was very disappointed that they do not have free parking for their guests and that I had to park at the Casino across the road because that was $15 cheaper than the rate to stay as a GUEST paying to park at the Hilton. 2.) I was annoyed to see that I had a $50 charge applied to my credit card after checking in when the concierge didn't even mention it. I assumed it was a room deposit, but again, she didn't even tell me she was applying any further charges to my credit card than the ones I had already paid a while back when I booked the hotel. 3.) When we got to our room I noticed they gave us a different room than I booked - I booked a King bed with a jacuzzi and a falls view and we were given a room with two queen beds. 4.) The window in the bathroom next to the jacuzzi had a giant oily spot on it that looked like the head print of someone with hair gel leaning against it. 5.) Our stay was concluded with me waking up in the morning to ANOTHER bill slipped under the doorway for an "Eco fee" of $3 and a Tourism fee of $28 that said they would be charged to my credit card. Once again, I was not informed AT ALL about these extra charges and when I asked the concierge about them on checking out she just shrugged and said that it's their regular policy and she can't do anything about it. I will not be staying at another Hilton Hotel ever again. You need to be a lot more transparent about all of the EXTRA charges that you charge your guests.
Respectable name with expectations met. Great amenities, a nice, clean and spacious suite for a reasonable price. The restaurants serve decent food and the one on top of the South tower offers great view of the falls. Staff is helpful and respectful. Pleased with the wonderful experience and would recommend if you are planning on staying for a night or two on the Canadian side of the falls.
I complained to the front desk about my room, asked to change rooms. Nothing else had to be said,, they upgraded me to a two bedroom suiteI am grateful for there kind gesture, hate to say it, I never complain, they really need to improve on room cleaning. There is a lot of construction around the hotel, not sure where I picked up a nail, it a fast leak. Safe to say, it was close by. Who knows. I have stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times. Great location. Rooms are usual good. Not this time. $380 for a tiny room, closet size window. Air conditioning sounds like a jet engine, incredibly annoying. On demand pay channels remote or something at front desk does not work, 3 calls to front desk and one to service department, with a promise to send a service guy, 50 min later nothing. I give up.
Very large hotel. We stayed in a suite. The view of the falls was amazing. No microwave in the room which was odd since they had a fridge. The bathroom was very nice. Had a large whirlpool tub and separate toilet/shower area. The restaurants and store were very nice if pricey, but that's to be expected for a Hilton and the area itself, which is definitely a tourist trap. Easy access to the casino which was a 2 minute walk across the street. Overall had a great time and would recommend the hotel.
I invited a couple of foreign guests to the penthouse suite. The full size window from the floor to the ceiling rendered a mesmerizing night view of the falls. The stunning view was unforgettable. The restaurant atmosphere was fantastic. The food was Michelin quality. With a clear bottom helicopter ride over the falls added, this three day trip was one of the top ventures I thoroughly enjoyed.
